Top supporter of Marauder Athletics with over $250,000 donated for use by the entire program. Sponsors the Rancho Vista Shootout at the AVC Men’s Basketball Tournament, considered to be the premier community college tournament in the country. Sponsors top-flight, professional level half-time entertainment for Marauder games, including the Laker Girls and other acts which have performed at NBA and other major professional arenas. Omnipresent and ardent fan at Marauder games, including traveling to playoffs of football, men’s and women’s basketball and softball.

Head Baseball Coach 1980-1984
Coached the Marauders for five years before heading into the professional ranks, managing in the minor leagues for 21 years and coaching over 1000 wins.  He earned such honors as Manager of the Year in three different leagues, Minor League Manager of the Year by Baseball America and Class A Manager of the Year by both Baseball America and USA Today Baseball Weekly.  Took over as the Baltimore Orioles’ Manager in 2007.

Frank Jackson – 1969 basketball and career achievement
Played basketball for the Marauders in 1969, then played basketball and tennis for the University of Nevada.  Started his legal career in 1973 as an attorney with the prominent local law firm, specializing in family law.  He was elevated to the Los Angeles County Superior Court in 1993, assigned to the Antelope Valley Courthouse in Lancaster and served as Supervising Judge from 1995 to 2001. Before that he was a Municipal Court Judge of the Antelope Municipal Court from January 1990 to January 1993. Jackson also taught at AVC until 2008 when he was confirmed as an Associate Justice of the Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District, Division Seven.
DeAndra Cobb – 2000 and 2001 football
as Gained 1609 yards as a running back for the Marauders, currently eighth on the career charts.  Had 1096 in 2001 when he led AVC in rushing. He also led AVC in rushing in 2000.  Gained 280 yards against SD Mesa and was named Foothill Conference Player of the Week four times.  Named All-State in 2001.  Was named All-Big-10 as a kick returner at Michigan State in 2004 when he set a school record with four kickoff returns for touchdowns in that season.  Selected by the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons in the sixth round (201st overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft and played in three games with the Falcons. At time of induction was playing for the Hamilton Tiger-cats of the Canadian Football League. sdg
Danny Prince – 1992 and 1993 men’s basketball
dsf Set a national record for 3-pointers in a season and was the California Community College record holder for 3-pointers in a season and in a career.  He was named All-State California Community College and was a first team selection to the California Community College All-Star Team. Attended UC Santa Barbara where he finished as a Top 10 player in three-point shots attempted and made in a career.  From 1996 to 2001, played for the UAG Tecos of Guadalajara, Mexico and the Jiangsu of Jiangsu, China.  Became a Division I assistant women’s coach and at the time of his induction was coaching for Northwestern University sdf
Cindy (Sims) Vargas – 1995 and 1996 softball and academic achievement

She batted .450 in her career – still a Marauder record -- hitting 29 doubles, 19 of those in 1996.  Defensively, she ended her Marauder career with a .938 fielding average.  She was named Foothill Conference Player of the Year both seasons, until 2007 the only Marauder to be so named twice.  She was All-Southern California in 1995 and All-State in 1996.  She was also named Antelope Valley College Scholar Athlete of the Year for the 1995-96 season and was the recipient of the state-wide Pepsi Scholar Athlete Award.
