MARAUDER BASEBALL SPLITS DOUBLE HEADER WITH CERRO COSO

RIDGECREST - The Marauder baseball team won the second game in 10 innings against Cerro Coso, 11-9, after dropping the first to the Coyotes, 10-5, Saturday afternoon at Cerro Coso College.

Blake Leidholdt hit his first home run of the season, a solo shot in the top of the seventh inning, however, the Marauders were trailing 10-4 before the home run. Leidholdt was 2-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored, but he struggled on the mound after allowing 10 runs on 11 hits.

John Reyes was 2-for-3 and Daulton Stanton added two RBI in the first game for AVC.

Leidholdt continued his hot hitting in the second game after finishing 4-for-6 with four RBI. Trevor Morrison also added four hits and finished with three RBI and two runs. Kyle Lathrop was 3-for-7 with three runs scored and one RBI. Jorge Villalobos added three hits for AVC.

With the score tied 9-9 entering the top of thew 10th inning, Anthony Parisi doubled to right field to score Morrison putting the Marauders up 10-9. Stanton then singled which scored Parisi to put AVC up by two. Andrew Elliott picked up the win in relief for the Marauders.
