TYLER SELVIG COMMITS TO MISSOURI STATE

Marauder Football's Tyler Selvig has committed to play for the Missouri State Bears in Springfield, Missouri. The 6'2, 205-pound quarterback led AVC in passing yards and touchdowns last season. Throughout ten games, Selvig completed 95 passes for 1,159 yards and 13 touchdowns. Tyler also rushed for 346 yards and five touchdowns.

With Selvig under center, the Marauders finished 2nd place in the SCFA's American Mountain League standings. The 1st Team All-Conference QB also received Offensive Player of the Week honors after a performance in which he threw for 352 yards with seven passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. Selvig's seven touchdown passes broke the Marauder's single-game record of five held by four previous players. Tyler joins a Bears team led by Bobby Petrino, who was recently announced as the head coach on January 16, 2020. Petrino has previously served as head coach at Arkansas, Western Kentucky, and twice at Louisville. He has developed 34 NFL Draft selections during his illustrious career, including four in the first round, and Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson.

The Bears compete in the NCAA's Division 1 Missouri Valley Football Conference.
