LANCASTER - For the second game in a row the Marauder men's basketball team showed why it will be a force to be reckoned with once conference play starts.

AVC had no problems with arch-nemesis College of the Canyons after an easy 99-73 victory over the Cougars, Friday evening in a non-conference game at Marauder Stadium.

D'Mauria Jones led AVC with 26 points and Osi Nwachukwu finished with 15 points and eight rebounds. Both were having fun on the court as they were each setting up the other for breakaway dunks which excited the crowd.

The Marauders took the lead early and used a 19-2 run to easily take advantage of a shocked COC team and lead 30-10. AVC led 56-30 at halftime.

AVC's defense forced COC to commit 22 turnovers and the Marauders scored 37 points off those errors. AVC shot 55 percent from the field and 48 percent from 3-point range.
