Marauder Men's Basketball split their season series with Bakersfield college winning the first game 71-68 and losing their second match-up 70-75.

In the first game, it was F/C Elijah McCoy leading the way for the Marauders with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Johnathan Daniels scored 11 points, while Joshua Assiff had eight points and nine rebounds. The Marauders shot 41% from the field, while the Renegades shot 39%.

AVC was hoping to take the energy from game one on the road with them for the second contest at Bakersfield. The second battle started with plenty of intensity as the teams were tied up at the half 28-28.

The second half brought higher scoring for both teams, but the Marauders couldn't close it out down the stretch. Both Elijah McCoy and Stephen Perry finished with 12 points each. McCoy also had nine rebounds.

Johnathan Daniels scored 11 points with five assists and four rebounds. Daniel Barrera and Mekhi Smith each had eight points. Barrera also chipped in six rebounds.

AVC (3-5) will take on Cypress on Friday, April 9th, on the road before traveling to Palo Verde.
