AVC Men's Soccer blanked the Compton Tartars 3-0 on Friday at home.

It was Bryan Lima who scored the first goal with an assist from Fabian Duran in the opening minutes. Victor Jimenez then made it 2-0 with a goal assisted by David Rodriguez Tafoya minutes later. Jimenez and Lima lead the Marauders in shots on goal, while Jimenez leads in goals with three on the season.

AVC controlled the pace throughout the match and suffocated Compton defensively. Rodriguez Tafoya recorded his second assist of the day by setting up Rocco Hong-Baltier for his first score of the year.

AVC launched a total of 16 shots, nine on goal for the win, while limiting the Tartars to six shots on goal. Goalies Daniel Pantaleon and Bryan Rios Martinez teamed up for six saves on the day.

The Marauders improved to 3-0-1 and will take on Pasadena City College next, on Tuesday (9/14) at 4:00 pm at home.
