SOPHOMORES HONORED AS MEN'S SOCCER OUTLASTS CITRUS

Men's Soccer held on for a 2-0 victory over the Citrus Owls on Friday. In a match that saw the Marauders amass 24 total shots and 13 on goal, they were able to limit the Owls to four total shots and two on goal. 

In his last home game at AVC, Bryan Lima did not disappoint in a performance that included one goal off four shots and an assist. Lima scored at the 42:00 minute mark to give AVC a 1-0 lead at the break. 

Chris Romero then scored his third goal of the season twenty minutes into the second period with an assist from Lima. Daniel Pantaleon had two saves to help the Marauders fight off the Owls for the shutout. 

Bryan Lima now leads the Marauders on the season with ten goals. After the game, the Marauders honored five sophomores as Bryan LimaFabian DuranDavid Rodriguez TafoyaCharlie Gordon, and Hunter Christensen all played their last regular-season home game at AVC. The Marauders will close out the regular season on the road as they take a 3-1-3 conference record (10-3-5 overall) to College of the Canyons on Tuesday, 11/9 at 6:00 pm.
