MARAUDER SOCCER THRIVES AS BOTH MEN'S AND WOMEN'S ADVANCE TO POSTSEASON PLAYOFFS

With high expectations under the guidance of first-year Head Coach Charles Gordon and assistant coaches Arika Ontiveros and Megan Farrell, the AVC Men's soccer team has enjoyed its best performance in the Marauder Men's history finishing the regular season with a record of 11 wins, three losses, and five ties. They also look to continue their 2021 campaign with the Marauder's first-ever appearance in postseason play.

"We are extremely proud of the accomplishments these talented young men have earned both on and off the field of play. Their character has been unwavering as the team has approached every challenge with their best effort," stated Coach Gordon.

The Marauder Men will open postseason play with a 2:00 pm kickoff on Saturday, November 20, against Fullerton College.

Likewise, the Marauder Women look forward to playoffs after completing their regular season with 15 wins, four losses, and two ties. Also led by Head Coach Charles Gordon and assistant coaches Arika Ontiveros and Megan Farrell, the AVC Women's soccer team is excited to continue their 2021 dominance in the postseason.

"It's an honor to work with student/athletes who display such honor, courage, and commitment. These women continue to battle adversity and succeed both on the field and in the classroom," affirmed Coach Gordon. The Marauder Women will open their postseason play on the road on Saturday, November 20, against Chaffey College.

Thus, with an overall program record of 26 wins, seven losses, and seven ties, the Marauder Soccer season has enjoyed many enjoyable moments to complement the values of life lessons learned.

"This fall season has provided a tremendous opportunity to prepare for postseason play. In preparation, some of our losses can be considered our biggest wins as both teams have been able to capitalize on lessons learned in reflection and progress forward stronger from them. As well, embracing the importance of team unity and adhering to program values has been the foundation of our growth and successes this season. We are extremely proud of the accomplishments all our students/athletes have achieved and look forward to a lot of excitement and fun this postseason." added coach Gordon.
