MARAUDER MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD TEAM FINISHES SECOND AT VENTURA

VENTURA - Kyle Schilling finished first in the discus and hammer, Friday afternoon, at Ventura College helping contribute to the Marauder men's track and field second place finish in a Western States Conference meet held at Ventura College.

Schilling threw 41.60m in the discus and 42.26m in the hammer. He also round out his impressive day with a second place finish in shot put (14.19m). Joshua Fatherree was second in the javelin (42.24m) and fourth in the discus (34.22m).

The Marauders dominated the men's hammer by finishing 1-2-3. Behind Schilling was John Jablonski (41.12m) followed by Ryan Alvarez (40.06m).

Glendale College won the meet on the men's side with a total of 151 total team points. AVC was second (111) and West LA College finished third (101).

Joshua Cummings had a nice day for the Marauders. The sprinter finished third in the 400m (50.66), behind teammate Micah Robinson who was second (50.07), fourth in the 200m (22.59) and was part of both first place relay teams, the 4X100m along with Robinson, Ryan Webb and Matthew Dinh (44.32) and in the 4X400m with Jordan Rayfield, Robinson and Jesus Patino (3:24.73). Bradley Wiggs was fourth in the 1500 meter run (4:04.70).
