ROBERTS HOMERS AGAIN, MARAUDER SOFTBALL HAS NO ISSUES WITH VICTOR VALLEY

LANCASTER - Taylor Roberts hit her 12th home run of the season and added to her state-leading 52 RBI to help lead the Marauder softball team to an easy 8-0 victory against Victor Valley at Marauder Stadium.

The victory sets up a showdown with College of the Canyons on Tuesday at Marauder Stadium for first place in the conference. The Cougars defeated AVC in the teams only other meeting earlier this year.

Katie Weiser was 2-for-3 with three RBI and her triple in the bottom of the fifth inning which scored Valerie Dorantes sealed the victory for the Marauders.

Roberts' home run came in bottom of the third inning giving AVC a 3-0 lead. Roberts pitched all five innings allowing only two hits while striking out seven.

Dorantes was 1-for-2 with two RBI and two runs scored, including a triple in the bottom of the second inning.
