MARAUDERS EXTEND STREAK ON A CHALLENGING COURSE IN SIMI HILLS

Women's Golf placed 1st in Western State Conference Match #6 on Monday at Simi Hills Golf Course.

The Marauders were challenged by a course with water and OB in play on many holes and progressing winds throughout the day. But AVC persevered and shot 361 as a team, their second-lowest team score of the season in conference play. They were by Arlene Faye Salvador's 78 (1st) and Madison Schafer's 85 (4th) individual scores. Adrianna Rosales (97) and Vashti Rachal (101) continued to improve. Ayanna Langdale and Jasmin Carrillo also contributed with 111 and 112.

The Marauders topped second-place College of the Canyons (372) and third place Citrus (376). Bakersfield placed 4th, Santa Barbara 5th, and Moorpark 6th.

WSC Match #7 will be Monday, Oct. 18th, at Sand Canyon Golf Course as COC hosts in Santa Clarita.
