BECK, BROWN, WILSON IMPROVE ON MARKS AT ANTELOPE VALLEY COLLEGE

LANCASTER - It was a bit of a change up for Angela Wilson, Friday afternoon at Antelope Valley College.

The top ranked 800 meter runner stepped aside from her normal event to work on her speed and finished second in the 400 meter run clocking a personal best 59.09 finishing behind College of the Canyons' Tisian Nealy (58.65). Nealy finished second in the 200 meter run with a time of 25.38.

Anaiya Brown finished behind Nealy and Bakersfield College's Kaira Saunders in the 200 (25.59). Brown knocked off nearly a second off her previous season time (26.48). Saunders defeated sister Taira Saunders in the 100 meter run at 12.12. Taira Saunders finished second at 12.26 and Brown ran a personal best (12.56) finishing third.

Krista Beck trimmed 13 seconds off her best time in the 3000 meter run (10:57.38). COC's Jessica Ruiz won the race (10:49.90). AVC's Brittani Wynn won the hammer throw (122-03) and was third in the discus (105-00). Robyn Webb was fourth in the hammer (103-06) and fifth in the shot put (26-01.75). Another Marauder finished strong in the hammer, Anna-Helene Augusta was fifth (103-01).
