WILSON REMAINS UNDEFEATED IN 800 METERS

GLENDALE - Angela Wilson kept her 800 meter undefeated streak in tact with another victory in drizzling weather Saturday afternoon at Glendale College in the Vaquero Classic Invitational.

Wilson, who has already run sub-2:16 this season, finished first with a time of 2:16.23 in bad conditions ahead of West Los Angeles College's N'Finity Lindley who was second at 2:19.16. It seems Lindley ran the race of her life as her previous best of the season was 2:28.91.

"I was really nervous going into that race. I knew I was going to have some competition," said Wilson. "I got out fast and she (Lindley) was on me. She started to make a move and I just surged and hit another gear. I was very happy with the way I ran especially the way the weather was."

AVC's Krista Beck finished second in the 5000 meter run behind College of the Canyons Alexandra Whitman. Whitman crossed the line in 18:43.91 and Beck clocked 18:52.96.

Anna-Helene Augusta finished eighth in the hammer (93-04) and 10th in the discus (96-01).
