JACKSON, REYES TAKE STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE MONTH HONORS

Congratulations to Damario Jackson and Rubi Reyes, our September Male and Female Student-Athletes of the Month, sponsored by Chik-fil-A, Avenue K & 15th St.

AVC Football's Damario Jackson had 19 receptions for 290 yards and 1 receiving TD, 398 yards in kick/punt returns with 2 TDs, and 9 rushing yards for a total of 697 all-purpose yards of offense with 3 touchdowns in September.

Rubi Reyes helped lead the Women's Volleyball team to a 6-1 record in September, including wins over Allan Hancock, Southwestern, Porterville, LA Pierce, and Victor Valley (2). Reyes, a sophomore from Highland High, totaled 45 digs, 2 aces, and was the team leader in kills with 69 for the month.
