LANCASTER - Ethan Avant was 2-for-4 and collected both RBI for the Marauder baseball team, however, it was not enough as AVC dropped to 0-3 in conference play with an 11-3 loss to College of the Canyons, Tuesday afternoon.
The Marauders trailed 5-0 entering the sixth inning, but made the game respectable following a two-RBI double from Avant, which helped cut the lead to 5-3.
The game remained that way until the eighth inning when the Cougars scored three runs and finished off with three more in the top of the ninth.
