Antelope Valley College Baseball announced Dr. Bryan Moses as the seventh head baseball coach in Marauder history in the 2021-22 season. Moses just completed his 5th year as the Marauder skipper, going 25 – 14, and has compiled a record of 106 - 90. In his first season at the helm, Moses led the Marauders to their first winning season since 2013. The 2022 season included landmark wins over top-ranked teams, including Fresno City and Glendale. The Marauders won 6 games in their final at-bat and posted some impressive offensive state accolades: Runs, 13th, Hits, 20th, Doubles, 21st, Triples, 6th, Homeruns, 27th, RBI, 12th, Walks, 4th, Batting Average, 29th, On Base Percentage, 12th. AVC Baseball also saw seven players receive All-Conference honors in 2022, including three 1st-Team, three 2nd-Team, and one Golden Glove.
In 2025, Moses led the Marauders to their first playoff appearance since 1969. AVC compiled a record of 27 - 13 while finishing second in the Western State South Conference. Since the hiring of Dr. Moses, the Marauders have placed at or near the top of every offensive category in the state in each season.
AVC baseball players are routinely moving on to four-year colleges, which is particularly exciting to Coach Moses. "The success rate of our players moving on with scholarship money is a testament to our student-athletes' hard work and dedication. We will continue to promote the importance of education to every player in their quest to play college baseball at the highest level."
Moses brings with him a career record of 324 - 220 and arrives from McPherson College in Kansas, where he spent five seasons as their head coach. The Bulldogs shattered numerous school records under his leadership, including accomplishing their highest winning percentage in team history by compiling a record of 38 – 15 (.717) in 2021. 38 wins were also a Bulldog record. After being ranked #17 in the country, the Bulldogs landed on the national stage as they fell just short of reaching the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho.
Before McPherson College, Moses served as an assistant coach at Brown University, where he filled several roles, including coaching the catchers, hitters, and aiding in the program's recruiting efforts.
His extensive resume also includes a stint at Cal State Northridge, where he served as an assistant coach and assistant recruiting coordinator. Before CSUN, Moses spent three seasons (2013-15) as the head coach at the University of Antelope Valley. After leading UAV to a 20-5 mark in 2012, he guided the Pioneers to a record of 82-56 in the next three seasons. He also served as a health instructor and department head at the NAIA University.
Moses previously served as an assistant coach at Simpson University (Calif.) and spent parts of two seasons as a coach with the Redding Colt 45s summer collegiate baseball team. Before moving to the collegiate ranks, Moses was the head baseball coach at Skyline High School in Idaho.
