Bio
Tago is a proud Quartz Hill High School alumnus and member of the standout Class of 2018, where he helped lead the Royals to a CIF Championship. A two-way star at quarterback and linebacker, he threw for over 3,000 yards and 30 touchdowns his senior year while also making game-changing plays on defense. His dominant season earned him All-CIF MVP and Golden League MVP honors. By the end of his high school career, Tago was ranked the No. 13 inside linebacker in the nation and the No. 22 overall athlete in the Class of 2018.
Highly recruited, Tago received multiple Division I scholarship offers before committing to Oregon State University, where he saw the field in 11 of 12 games as a 17-year-old true freshman. During his two seasons with the Beavers, he competed under elite coaches including Jonathan Smith, Trent Bray, and Tim Tibesar.
Tago then transferred to San José State University, where he spent three seasons playing for Head Coach Brent Brennan, Defensive Coordinator Derrick Odom, and Linebackers Coach Scott White. With the Spartans, he was a key contributor on defense and special teams, showcasing versatility by playing both inside and outside linebacker.
After completing his college career, Tago earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications from San José State University.
