After beating College of the Canyons on the road on Saturday, AVC Men's Basketball returned home to face the Bakersfield Renegades.

After beating College of the Canyons (84-78) on the road on Saturday, AVC Men's Basketball returned home to face the Bakersfield Renegades on Wednesday.
AVC opened up a big lead before the break behind 17 points from Tre Hawkins. Up 60-37 at the half, the Marauders cooled off in the second period, shooting 40% from the field after shooting 59% in the first half.
The Renegades pushed hard, but AVC held on for the 94-85 victory. Hawkins led all scorers with 28 points, including six 3-pointers. Malik Larane had 16 points with 5 rebounds, while Josh Montiano had 15 points with 4 assists. Xa Landry contributed 10 points, and Omari Mathis chipped in 8 and 5 rebounds. Chris Greene and Ryan Frazer led the Marauders in rebounds with 6 each.
AVC is 9-10 overall and will travel to Citrus College before returning home to face Glendale College on Jan. 31 at 5:00 pm.
