Antelope Valley College Men's Basketball has punched their ticket to the 2026 3C2A State Championship Tournament. The Marauders will play on the road at Mt. San Jacinto on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 7:00 pm.
The Marauders (21) finished the regular season 16-12 overall and 9-5 in the Western State-South Conference, and face an Eagles (11) team that finished 21-7 overall and 13-3 in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference.
The playoff birth followed a 96-75 win over the LA Valley Monarchs. Amado Coleman scored a game-high 26 points with 15 rebounds and 5 assists in the contest. Rahjon Chambers and Mister Burnside scored 18 points each.
Ripine Vagaia had 8 points, while AJ Duke (9 points) and Izzy Harrington (7 points) contributed off the bench.
AVC shot 49.2% from the field, including 39.3% (11-28) from behind the 3-point line. The Marauders out-rebounded the Monarchs 34-28 and forced 17 turnovers on the night.
Sophomores Mister Burnside (Palmdale, CA), Rahjon Chambers (Las Vegas, NV), Ripine Vagaia (Lancaster, CA), and Shail Patel (Pomona, CA) were honored before the competition.
