AVC Men's Soccer got their second win of the season as they defeated Chaffey College 3-2. The Marauders scored first on a header goal by Christopher Cortez in the 43rd minute. Fabian Duran had the assist on the play. AVC then added another goal from Joseph Perez off an assist from Rodrigo Martinez in the 47th minute.

The Panthers then came back scoring two goals off of penalty kicks by Ivan Diaz and Danny Alvarado. It was Rodrigo Martinez who scored the winning goal for the Marauders off a penalty kick in the 88th minute. Martinez finished with one assist and one goal off of four shots. AVC totaled 16 shots on goal. Joseph Perez finished with one goal off of four shots while Chris Cortez ended with one goal in two attempts. "I'm proud of my guys for battling hard until 90 minutes and for staying composed...  Dylan Gonzalez had an amazing game on the backline and the depth chart was responsible for keeping us going strong until the final whistle," said Coach Stupar 

GK Matt Garcia had five saves on the day. The Marauders are 2-0 on the season and will take on Long Beach next Friday, September 6th at 5:00 pm at Marauder Stadium.
