AVC Men's Soccer held on to beat College of the Desert 3-1 at home on Tuesday.
The Marauders struck first with a goal by Hugo Santana (assisted by Kaleb Stokes) in the 11:42 minute. The Roadrunners answered three minutes later to tie it at 1-1. It wasn't until the 38:03 mark that AVC got back on track with another score courtesy of Benjamin Estrada to give the Marauders a 2-1 lead at the break.
Angel Montes De Oca gave the Marauders a little breathing room when he scored his first goal of the season with an assist from Alex Araiza.
The win snaps a two-game losing streak for the Marauders, who are now 3-4-1. They'll face off against LA City College next in a home match on Sept. 27 at 7:00 pm.
