Antelope Valley College Men's Volleyball won their second match of the season with a 5-set win over El Camino College.
AVC won the first set 25-23, dropped the following two sets 21-25, 23-25, and tied it 2-2, winning the fourth set 25-23. The Marauders outlasted the Warriors 16-14 in the deciding fifth set.
The Marauders were led offensively by David Buckley, who had 22 kills on the day. Buckley also recorded 9 digs on the day.
Jaymar Mones had a team-high 12 digs and 2 aces, while Damion Sanchez had 24 assists, 9 digs, and 2 aces. Diego Ramirez also had 9 digs to go along with 5 kills. Benjamin Alfaro and Isaiah McGilbray contributed 6 kills each.
AVC is now 2-7 overall and is on the road at Fullerton before returning home to face Long Beach on Wed., March 4, at 6:00 pm.
