CROSS COUNTRY COMPETES AT WSC CHAMPIONSHIPS; CAMPOY QUALIFIES FOR 3C2A REGIONALS
The Antelope Valley College men's cross country team wrapped up conference competition at the Western State Conference Championships, highlighted by a regional-qualifying performance from Nomar Campoy, who earned a spot in the 2025 3C2A Cross Country Regional Championships.
Campoy placed 33rd overall out of 105 athletes, recording a personal-best time of 22:20.40 to advance to the next round. He will represent the Marauders on November 7 at NTC Park in San Diego, the same site as the WSC preview back in September.
Caden Ficke was AVC's next finisher, crossing the line in 26:23.30 to place 79th overall, capping off a strong effort for the Marauders in their final team race of the season.
The program now turns its attention to regional competition, where Nomar will look to build on his season-best performance against the top runners in Southern California.
