Marauder Women's Basketball beat the Santa Monica Corsairs 74-27 at home on Saturday. The convincing win, which followed an overtime victory at LA Valley earlier in the week, pushed the Marauders to a 6-4 record in conference.
Most of AVC's offense came from the bench as Amber Jordan (12) and Betzy Alvarado (9) scored season-highs on the day. Also off the bench, Malaiyah Paulk scored 12 points, and Key'illa Barnes delivered 10. Starter Courtney Hart tied for a team-high 12 points to go along with 9 rebounds.
Amber Jordan pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds, giving her her first double-double of the season. Deja Taylor had a game-high 9 assists, while Allysa Taylor had 5 steals. Cierra Steemer recorded 8 points and 7 rebounds, and Bridgett Ignacio contributed 7 points.
Antelope Valley remains in the playoff hunt at 6-4 in conference and 14-10 overall. They will host College of the Canyons, who sit just below them in the conference standings, on Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
