The Marauders scored 20 runs off 17 hits in the 5-inning contest. Jordyn Zinn led the attack with 5 RBI. The freshman utility player from Lancaster went 3-for-4, including a 2-run shot well over the center field fence in the first inning. The homerun was Zinn's 14th of the season. She leads the team and ranks 3rd in home runs in the 3C2A State rankings.
"The team needed something to get really fired up, so I knew if I went in there getting a good piece of the ball, the girls would get fired up and strive even harder to take the win," commented Zinn.
Both Marley Delgado (3-for-3) and Kaylei Victoria (2-for-3) recorded 4 RBI. Delgado has 11 HRs on the year, while Victoria's 52 RBI leads the Marauders and ranks her 3rd state.

"I am so proud of this team. They overcame a lot of adversity throughout the season and kept pushing forward. It's never been about one player, but every single one of them buying in, supporting each other and playing for something bigger than themselves," said head coach Cindy Vargas.
"After a tough loss on Tuesday, they showed real character, resilience, and belief to bounce back and play the way they did. Clinching the conference title at home is a special honor. In front of our own fans, against a quality Citrus College team, shows the heart that our team has," added assistant coach Cole Vargas. "They've earned every part of this conference title, and we're glad that they'll have a banner to reflect the dominant conference performance that they've put together this year."
AVC is now 10-1 in Conference play and 28-9 overall, with one conference game left and two non-conference matchups. They are on the road at East LA, and then back home for the final conference game against LA Mission on Tues. 4/21 at 2 pm. They'll wrap up their regular season schedule at Mt. San Antonio College.
