AVC Women's Volleyball recorded a 3-0 home win over the West LA Wildcats. The Marauders were quick to get back on track after a loss to Citrus College earlier in the week.
Kalilah Laulile (9, game-high) and Rubi Reyes (7) led the attack, combining for 16 kills. Laulile also had 4 digs and a service ace. Ava Medrano had a game-high 11 assists, followed by Avery Mattice's 9. Kalilah Laulile leads the Marauders in kills on the season with 109, while Mattice leads in assists with 307.
Alyssa Guzman and Sophia Weatherwax shared a team-high in digs with 5 apiece. Weatherwax also had 5 service aces on the day. Cecilia Foster recorded 4 blocks (3 solo). Adrian Givens had 6 kills and 2 digs, while Natalia Fernandez had 4 assists and 4 digs with 2 aces. Foster has a team-high 27 blocks (10 solo) on the year.
The Marauders rank 17th in the 3C2A in points per set at 14.9. Now 10-2 overall and 1-1 in conference, AVC will host Bakersfield (4-13 overall, 1-2 in conference) on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 6 pm.
