Team Stats
Antelope Valley College Softball recorded a 17-0 win over the Rio Hondo Roadrunners at home to open the season.
The Marauders scored their 17 runs on 17 hits and committed no errors on the day. Team leaders included Analise Memory and Jordyn Zinn, who both went 4-for-5 at the plate with 2 RBI each. Memory, a sophomore from Highland High and a 2025 NFCA Gold Glove recipient, added her 2 RBI courtesy of a home run to deep center field in the 3rd inning.
Kaylei Victoria had 3 RBI off 2 hits, while Marley Delgado and Tenley Puett recorded 2 RBI each. Jeannette Camarena, Lucy Navarro, Sadie Mendoza, Mya Gonzalez, Hartley Lundquist, and Kenzie Martinez all recorded a hit and an RBI.
AVC's combined no-hitter came from freshman pitchers Lucy Navarro (Eastside HS), who threw 3 innings for the win, and Hailey Davis (Boron HS), who pitched 2 innings. Navarro struck out 6 of 11 batters faced, and Davis struck out 3 of her 6 batters faced.
The Marauders will next face Chaffey College at home on Jan. 30 at 1:00 pm.
