Antelope Valley College Women's Basketball captured a 66-51 home win over the Citrus Owls on Tuesday. The WSC Conference win splits the season series with the Citrus (1-1), after a 77-66 loss to the Owls back in January.
The Marauders led throughout the contest, shooting 46% (28-60) from the field, while holding the Owls to 31% (18-57). AVC outrebounded Citrus 38-30 as both teams had 15 turnovers on the night.
Ariana Soil led all scorers with 22 points and also had a game-high 4 steals. Shaniya Sinclair recorded a double-double with 13 points and a game-high 11 rebounds, while Keyilla Barnes had 14 points and 5 rebounds.
Brianna Samarion recorded 9 rebounds to go along with 6 points, and Mya Colquitt scored 8 points.
Antelope Valley is now 11-12 overall, and 6-3 in conference. They will next face a 16-7 Bakersfield team that they lost to (55-52) earlier in the season. Their next home game will be Feb. 11 against West LA.
