Marauder Women's Volleyball lost the first of two conference match-ups against College of the Canyons on Wednesday.
AVC played the first set close, losing 18-25. Momentum dipped as they lost the second set 7-25. They battled back to make the final set closer, losing 22-25.
Maggie Rafferty and Maria Larranaga led the Marauders with five kills each. Rhiannon Romero had 11 assists and two aces, while Vanessa Fletes had eight assists and two blocks. Audrey Shull contributed a team-high seven digs.
The Marauders will take on West LA next in a home match-up on Friday, Oct. 22, at 6:00 pm.
