ADRIANA PEREZ
Adriana Perez played catcher for the 2010 and 2011 Marauder softball teams. As a freshman, she was named All-America, First-Team All-State, and Foothill Conference Player of the Year, setting a Marauder record for home runs in a season, as well as behind the plate for catching nine straight runners trying to steal, season runs batted in, slugging percentage, batting average (which still stood at time of induction) and caught stealing.
Adriana also won two jewels in the state triple crown with her average and RBI totals, missing the crown by one home run.
She kept piling it on in 2011, setting the school record for home runs and RBI in a season and career. The career records still stand at the time of her induction.
Perez became the first Marauder to be named State Player of the Year. She became the second AVC player to be named All-America as well as Foothill Conference Player of the Year twice.
Adriana is second in career slugging percentage, having become the first Marauder to slug better than 1.000, and she did it both years. She is also second in career on-base percentage.
